Here's a simple guide on how to brew:

Measure: Use 1 tablespoon of Sir Earl Grey Tea for every 8 ounces of water.

Heat Water: Bring water to a gentle boil, aiming for around 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius).

Steeping: Pour the hot water over the tea leaves in your teapot or cup. Allow the tea to steep for about 3 minutes.

Enjoy: Once the steeping time is up, strain the tea if necessary and enjoy your freshly brewed cup!

Are ekön teas OK and safe for women?

Absolutely!!! All of our blends are perfectly safe to be consumed by men or women so go ahead and enjoy some of his or get some for yourself. ekön was born out of our desire to cater to the men’s palate discarding some flavors that men are not very inclined to like, and basing our blends on some flavors we know men are inclined to love from the vast experience of our blenders (more than 20 years in the business).

What is the recommended quantity to use?

This depends on how strong do you like your beverage to be. For optimal results, we recommend using 1 teaspoon (2 grams) per serving.

Do ekön tea products contain caffeine?

Only when needed! Pound Hacker, Dayholic and PM charger are our only blends that contain caffeine.

What is the best way to store my ekön tea?

Sealed up airtight. Away from light, heat and moisture. No need to store it in the refrigerator as condensation can be created when going back to room temperature. 

If I brew my tea for more time than specified, do I get a stronger flavor? What if I pour more than the suggested quantity?

Longer steeping can result in stronger flavor but also in some bitterness. Same is true of using more leaf than recommended.

The base teas come from various origins such as South Africa, Japan and Sri Lanka. They are all carefully selected for their premium quality.

Do ekön tea products contain gluten?

All of our blends are gluten-free!

Caffeine can stay effective in the bloodstream for about 5 hours. Although not all bodies metabolize ingredients the same way, allow time for your body to process Energy PM before your usual bedtime

Can I drink ekön cold or iced?

Yes – as long as you steep it hot first. Make sure to follow the steeping time and instructions found on the pouch and then go ahead and cool it or add ice to it!

Do ekön blends expire?

Although ekön blends will never go bad, the herbs are more beneficial and better tasting when fresh (6-9 months).

When will I receive my order?

You will immediately receive an email confirmation of your order. Once it has shipped, you will receive tracking information. Packages ship within 24 hours of purchase (if order is received by Friday at 12:00 Noon).
